12/26/2010 A White Christmas

Again snow & Ice, it's a love hate relationship I have with it. You look at this photo like it's so pretty and peaceful, me...... Dam-it I got to shovel again.
Thank you Melissa for the 5 speed 10 horse snow blower, it makes shoveling fun!
How was your Christmas? Ours was great, we had all the girls at the house for Christmas dinner. Melissa and I got the WII game with accessories form the girls. Melissa cooked a sh*t load of food, a ham, beef brisket, mashed potatoes, pasta and desert, we also ordered Sushi. Nice and quite and peaceful the way the holidays should be with family

Pinstriping with Jive 12-01-10

Class came around quick this time, I left work at 4 in the afternoon and just made it to class 15 minutes early (5:45pm) traffic was terrible. Tonight's class focused on the bobble brush, its main use is for doing scroll work which I suck at. Bill was very informative and helpful, he tells me I'll get it, I just need to practice, practice and practice some more!

Bill (Jive) was the guy you went to for letting up your Sante Fe special, he would stripe out of my father in laws shop in the 70's.
It was just awesome to sit back and watch him do his art

At the end of class they drew numbers and gave away the panel he used as a training guide. I didn't win this time.
Next class is on lettering

Long Roof Update

So Saturday I came in early and started prepping the wagon for paint. I cleaned the booth and the wagon and started taping it up. I picked a color from a newer Ford but gave it a little twist by changing the flake and adding a blue pearl (gave it a Bob Job) actually I ran out of tints to mix the color and on Saturday in the afternoon no supply stores were open.
Cleaned and sealer applied now for color.
Color and clear coated, I had to do the roof in 3 sections, man my arm is akin! I'm satisfied with the color and the way it layed down. I was concerned cause I ran out of color towards the very end and didn't have any left to do a layout coat (layout coat evens the metallic down).
Melissa gave me the day off on Sunday to assemble the wagon and I'm grateful for that.
Ahhh Christmas, well almost. My re-chromed bumper for the rear, nice and shiny
Finally assemble and ready to go, I'm going to drive her daily!
